The Toledo Civil Service Commission has announced an opportunity for individuals to participate in a competitive recruitment examination to be a Toledo Police Officer.
Applications for the examination will be accepted on the first floor of One Government Center in Toledo, beginning Saturday, July 24 and ending Friday, August, 6.
Applications are being accepted in person at One Government Center or those individuals who reside 20 miles or more from the City of Toledo may apply by either of the two methods: someone else may apply for you through One Government Center, or via email- send an email to Toledo.email@example.com asking for an application (must put the words Police Officer Application in the subject line of the email.
The examination for the Police Officer is scheduled for Sunday, August 22, 2010. Applicants must be available to take the examination on the schedule day. The location is SeaGate Centre, 401 Jefferson Avenue, Toledo, OH.
Applicants who will not be 20 years of age on or before August 22, 2010 will not be allowed to participate in the examination. Applicants who will have attained the age of 35 on or before August 22, 2010 will not be allowed to participate in this examination.
Other requirements include a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) Tests equivalency at the time of application and one year of job-related course work at an accredited college or university. Applicants who do not possess the college requirement may participate in the examination and receive appointment.
Applicants must possess a valid State of Ohio driver TMs license upon appointment and provide copy of same upon appointment. In addition, applicants must be physically qualified to perform the duties of the position at time of appointment.
