Life’s Tastes Better Here: Sunset Bistro

Life’s Tastes Better Here: Sunset Bistro (WNWO)

Sunset Bistro is the perfect name for the Bowling Green restaurant sitting on the west side of town where beautiful sunsets can be seen. But more importantly “Bistro” means good food at fare prices and that is precisely what you receive when dining at the restaurant.

The restaurant opens at 11am offering a selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas and steaks that can be ordered any time of day. The choices on the menu sound standard but it’s how these items are put together that create unique offerings that can’t be found anywhere else. Maple pepper pork chops, quinoa burgers, eggplant caprese, and cauliflower hashbrown pea casserole are just a few examples of the exceptional flavors found at the bistro. Items are prepared fresh daily with several vegetarian and vegan options with the availability to make almost anything on the menu gluten free.

For dessert customers can try the cake of the day that is made every morning by the owner’s mother. Every Sunday Sunset Bistro offers a special brunch menu from 11-3 in addition to their full menu.

It’s a family restaurant where even kids can enjoy spending their time by drawing pictures that later get displayed as artwork on the walls. In the warmer months’ people can gather outside on the patio and enjoy the view as the sun goes down.

The restaurant has a lot of community involvement and pays special tribute to veterans with special fundraiser several times throughout the year. A portion of the proceeds are donated to veterans in honor of David Brott, a former US Army vet and father of the owner, who passed away two years ago.
