Lenawee County Sheriff's department investigating gun theft

The Lenawee County, Mi Sheriff's Department is seeking the public’s assistance to identify those who broke into a local business.

They department seeks those responsible for the breaking and entering of the Johnson’s Sporting Goods Store at 3654 N. Adrian Hwy. Adrian just before four a.m. on April 8.

When Deputies arrived they discovered a side employee entrance door had been forced open.

Upon entering the business, deputies discovered a display case containing hand guns had been broke into and several handguns appeared to be missing from the display case.

The store surveillance video shows possibly two people entered the building and one person breaking the glass to the display case and removing several handguns.

The other suspect was looking at long guns behind the counter area. It is unknown if any of those weapons were taken.

The subjects were reported to be in the building three minutes and when they exited the building they headed toward the paved trail on the north side of the business crossing N. Adrian Hwy on foot.
