      1 dead in semi-pickup truck crash on U.S. 20


      All U.S. 20 westbound lanes have reopened after a semi and pickup truck collided at the intersection of County Road 128 early Tuesday, taking the life of a Fremont man.

      According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 30-year-old Daniel Magers, Jr. was traveling southbound on County Road 128 when he ran a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 20 and was struck by a semi.

      Magers and his passenger, 29-year-old Shannon McGrew, were ejected from the vehicle upon impact. Magers was pronounced dead at the scene. McGrew was taken to a Fremont hospital and later flown by Life Flight to a Toledo hospital.

      The driver of the semi, 53-year-old Russell Lucas, did not sustain any injuries from the crash.
