Ohio State Highway Patrol (OHP) out of Fremont is investigating a 4-vehicle accident that left one woman in serious condition on Friday night in Bellevue.
The crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. on US- 20 near York Elementary.
According to a press release provided by OHP, a car driven by 68-year-old Phyllis Marinoff of Clyde was rear-ended by semi-truck driven by 57-year-old Stephen Paine of Toledo.
Authorities say the crash sent Marinoff's vehicle forward and into the eastbound lanes of US 20.
Another semi-truck, driven by 39-year-old Joseph Sultana of Garden City, tried to avoid colliding with Marinoff but hit her vehicle with its flatbed trailer and then completely rolled over the vehicle.
Sultana's truck then went airborne hitting a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Adam Hellman of Fremont.
Hellman, Sultana and Paine were not injured.
Marinoff, however, had to be freed from her vehicle and was life flighted to St. Vincent's with serious injuries.
