Authorities in Putnam County tell WNWO's Bryant Maddrick that 2 bodies have been found near Ottawa, Ohio and that those bodies are connected to an Amber Alert issued earlier on Thursday.
As of 8 p.m., officials are not releasing the location of the bodies but say they were found after one of 3 boys, reported "missing" in an Amber Alert earlier in the day, told them where to find the deceased.
Neighbors in the area told WNWO's Bryant Maddrick, however, that the bodies were found in a ditch near the intersection of Road 7 and Road J-6.
Police would not confirm the information on where the bodies were found Thursday night.
Officials are also not yet releasing the identity of the boy that lead them to the bodies but say he is 17-year-old.
Authorities said they would not release the information because the boy and the two victims are all juveniles.
The boy that helped locate the bodies was found in the Columbus area, Thursday afternoon, with the car that was described in the Amber Alert issued. The vehicle, a silver 2006 Chevrolet HHR, was spotted at a gas station in Columbus Thursday afternoon.
The Amber Alert was issued late Thursday morning for Blake Romes,17; Michael Fey, 17; and Blaine Romes, 14.
As of 3 p.m., after locating the vehicle and one individual, the alert was cancelled but the two remaining individuals were deemed missing endangered children.
Officials confirm the two "endangered children" are the two bodies found Thursday night near Ottawa.
Blake is a white male, 6'1" tall, and weighs 230 lbs.. He has sandy blonde hair and blue eyes. Michael is a white male, 5'10" tall, and weighs 200 lbs., with blonde or strawberry hair and blue eyes. Blaine is a white male, 5'9" tall, and weighs 140 lbs., with blonde or strawberry hair and blue eyes.
