MONROE, Mich. (AP) - Residents of the Monroe area haven't given up their search for justice for a little girl who died nearly a year ago.
The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward, and CrimeStoppers of Michigan is offering a $1,000 reward, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever was responsible for Nevaeh Buchanan's death.
Reward posters for businesses and fliers for individuals are scheduled to be distributed from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Monroe Moose Family Center 884.
Nevaeh was 5 when she disappeared May 24, 2009 from an apartment complex in Monroe, about 35 miles south of Detroit. Her body was found 10 days later along the nearby River Raisin.
An autopsy found she suffocated after inhaling dirt. No one has been arrested.(Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
