3 dogs from Mich. fighting ring euthanized

Three of the five pit bulls seized from an alleged fighting ring have been euthanized, according to WNEM.

Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell told the station that the suspected fighting arena was discovered inside of a Flint home's garage with blood on the floor. The dogs' conditions were bleak.

"[One dog's] entire quarter of his leg was gone, [there were] fresh bite marks on the dogs," he told WNEM.

A 14-year-old boy was taken in for questioning, but later released. The remaining two dogs are in the custody of Genesee County Animal Control.

The investigation is ongoing.
