3 people killed in Ohio Turnpike crash

The Ohio Highway Patrol is trying to determine if Monday's weather caused a fatal accident on the Ohio Turnpike in Williams County.

A car and semi collided in the westbound lanes around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Troopers say 64 year old Andrew Knapik, Jr. was driving east on the turnpike when he lost control of his car. His vehicle crossed the median and was hit by the oncoming big rig.

Knapik, his 64 year old wife Barbara and a passenger, 68 year old Carol Knapik were killed.

The truck driver was not hurt.
