Toledo police are investigating the third stranger danger incident in two weeks involving a Horizon Academy student on Tuesday morning.
According to Toledo Police Sgt. Joe Heffernan, the 17-year-old female said she was approached by a man in a white panel van in the 2600 block of West Sylvania Avenue around 10 a.m. The man told her to get in, but she refused and called police.
The student was able to write down license plate number FOR1768, but Sgt. Heffernan said the plate is not confirmed.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, around 5'9" and in his 30s or 40s. He was wearing a brown jacket and rag on his head at the time of the incident.

In the past two weeks, an eighth grade student at DeVeaux Middle School and a 15-year-old girl walking down California Boulevard reported men trying to lure them into vehicles in two separate incidents.
Police have not said whether or not they believe the cases are related, but the suspects in each incident have been described as different people by the victims.
