3rd suspect in South Toledo gym murder pleads guilty

Deitrekk Boone, 19, is still on the run after he was charged in the fatal robbery of a South Toledo gym owner.

A third man charged in the robbery-turned-shooting death of a South Toledo gym owner of a South Toledo gym owner has pleaded guilty to murder.

According to court documents, 32-year-old Jason Kuhns admitted Tuesday to helping plan the robbery of a man he believed to be carrying drugs and money. Kuhns also told the court that the actual victim, 57-year-old Joseph Lengel, was not their intended target.

He faces 15 years to life in prison at his sentencing on May 14.

Two other defendants have also pleaded guilty for their roles in the murder. Another suspect, Deitrekk Boone, is still on the run.
