      Abou-Arab pleads not guilty in Toledo fallen fighter arson case

      Abou-Arab will remain behind bars on a nearly $6 million bond.

      A Toledo apartment owner accused of setting a blaze that killed two Toledo firefighters pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday morning.


      61-year-old Ray Abou-Arab faces multiple charges of arson and aggravated murder in the deaths of Pvts. Stephen Machcinski and James Dickman who were killed battling a north Toledo apartment building fire in January.

      The judge issued a gag order on all counsels in the case. The defense has asked to review additional evidence at the crime scene at 528 Magnolia St.


      Abou-Arab's pre-trial is scheduled for Thursday, March 20. He will remain behind bars on a nearly $6 million bond.
