Accused killer James Ramey appears in court
SWANTON, Oh WNWO —
27-year-old James Ramey was arraigned Thursday afternoon on charges of aggravated murder and violating a restraining order.
On Tuesday, March 14th at around 5:00 a.m., police were dispatched to a home in Delta where they found 23-year-old Amanda Mangas suffering from at least one gun shot wound and their 10-month-old son missing.
An Amber Alert was issued just nine minutes later as an interstate manhunt began to track down Ramey who was believed to have taken the young child.
Authorities would later track Ramey to Fulton County, Indiana, where he was found with the child and step-mother of the victim.
Neither were injured.
Back in Delta, neighbors were in shock that such an event took place in their town.
Ramey is due back in court March 23rd.
