The Toledo man acquitted of murdering a Springfield Township couple, is back behind bars Monday.
23-year-old Cameo Pettaway is now accused of beating his life in girlfriend on Sunday at their Oregon residence.
He was arraigned Monday morning on a felonius assault charged and ordered held in Lucas County Jail on $25,000 bond.
Back in July, a judge acquitted Pettaway in the murders of Lisa Straub and Johnny Clarke. The judge cited lack of evidence.
Pettaway's co-defendant Samuel Williams was convicted of murdering the couple. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
