Toledo's Amtrak Station will host the fifth annual National Train Day Celebration on Saturday, May 5 in downtown Toledo.
More than 6,000 people attended last year for Amtrak's commemoration of the completion of the first transcontinental railroad system on May 10, 1869.
The festivities last 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza located at 415 Emerald Avenue. The events will also raise awareness of the vital role rails play in our nation's transportation system.
