You can make a big difference in someone's life today by donating to The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign. For every dollar dropped in a kettle at any of the three local Andersons locations, the store will donate another three dollars. "We are hoping that the community will recognize this opportunity and make an effort to donate on these days at these locations. Anyone who contributes should feel good about his or her part in generating increased revenue," said Captain Tawny Cowen-Zanders.
You can donate today, Friday and Saturday. The Andersons will match the donations up to $150,000.
One of the challenges facing The Salvation Army this year is the loss of collection days between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since Thanksgiving came later, the number of donation days dropped.
"It is our sincere hope that both donors and recipients join us in thanking The Andersons for their generosity. Their kindness will truly change lives," said Cowen-Zanders.
