Andrew "Z" Zepeda is back on the airwaves after WVKS 92.5 ended his five-year morning show due to legal woes. Zepeda joins The Vibe, WXKR 100.7, weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m. to talk about pop culture and current events.
Last year, Zepeda organized a break-in at the pizza place he owned in Perrysburg after failing to pay sales tax. He pleaded guilty to all charges and completed an alcohol abuse treatment program instead of jail time.
Zepeda has lived in Toledo since 1989 and his former gig won "morning show of the year" by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
"Andrew Z is all about Toledo! He lives here, is raising his family here, and really cares about this community," said Scott Meier, Cumulus regional vice president. "We thought it was right to give him back a 'soapbox' on which to stand to entertain the region with his great brand of humor, Hollywood entertainment and social commentary."
