Another summer-like day is on tap with plenty of sunshine this morning, some increase in clouds this afternoon and muggy highs getting into the mid 80's. Enjoy the warmth while you can as a nasty cold front moves into the region late this afternoon and this evening. This front will usher in some strong and possibly severe storms with damaging winds and large hail the main threats. If you are heading out to attend HS football games, the wine tasting or the Greek-American Festival be sure to keep and eye on the sky as things will go downhill quickly as these potent storms roar through.
Behind the front - an earnest cold front, we have a chilly weekend on tap. Saturday will be wet with scattered showers through most of the morning - tapering towards afternoon. Sunday looks to offer some sunshine. Highs over the weekend will only get into the lower 70's - so break out the jeans and sweatshirts.
Next week looks terrific with plenty of sunshine and pleasant highs in the 70's.
