It's not quite the polar vortex of early January, but a new wave of frigid temperatures is on its way to northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
The band of arctic air is expected to arrive late Monday and linger for most of the week. According to Jon James, of the WNWO weather team, abnormally cold air will likely stick around into February.
Tuesday will be bitterly cold with highs near ten degrees and wind chills below zero. The temperatures will keep dropping from there.
