As summer kicks off, so do FootGolfers

FootGolf requires participants to kick a soccer ball into a 21-inch hole (WNWO).

Want to try something a little bit different this Memorial Day Weekend?

The Whiteford Valley Golf Club is one of only two courses in the area that offer FootGolf.

It's a hybrid sport that combines golf and soccer. You have to kick a soccer ball into a 21-inch hole.

This is the fifth year they've had FootGolf on the course.

"Most of them are obviously soccer players, but we get groups from non profits to the demographic of 10-14-year-olds, or we just get families that want to come out and have a good time," said Director of Golf, Monty Elam.

The course in Ottawa Lake offers 18 holes of FootGolf and 45 regular golf holes.
