Authorities make arrest in August armed robbery

The Monroe County Sheriffs Office reports they've made an arrest in an armed robbery that occurred on August 8th at a home on Cedar Creek Drive in Frenchtown Township.

Investigators say the suspects fled the scene after robbing a woman and her teen at gunpoint in the early morning hours of August 8th.

Authorities arrived on the scene on Cedar Creek Drive near Day Lily around 1:15 a.m. Officials heard a woman screaming from an open bedroom window and discovered the back door of the apartment had been kicked in.

Two or three unknown suspects entered home while the family had been sleeping according to officers. The woman said a suspect threatened her with a handgun to hand over money and her cell phone. The other suspect went into the other bedroom and threatened him with a handgun. The suspect took several video games.

The group also stole the flat screen TV, but the officer's K-9 dog Ranger tracked down the location of the TV.
