Best Buy is telling customers that the items they ordered online may not make it in time for Christmas.
The largest U.S. specialty electronics retailer has announced they will not be able to fill some of their online orders this holiday season. Some of the orders were Black Friday deals placed more than three weeks ago.
Best Buy says overwhelming demand for some products has led to a problem redeeming online orders.
The retailer has not said how many orders are affected by the delay, or what products are out of stock. The shortages are a tough blow to Best Buy which really pushed online offerings this year to compete with discount stores and online retailers.
Online shopping is becoming more popular with sales up 15% this holiday season.
