T he clock is ticking for Bowling Green State University students who enjoy smoking on campus.
On Friday, the universities board of trustees voted to approve a smoking ban on the Bowling Green and Firelands campus.
T he action comes after the Ohio Board of Regents recommended that all Ohio public universities become smoke free.
U niversity officials say the ban is to promote education and a healthier lifestyle. T he university says there will be designated smoking areas throughout the campus.
T he ban begins January 2014.
