Big Time Rush fans meet the band at Toledo Zoo

Two young fans of the Nickelodeon pop band Big Time Rush live right here in Northwest Ohio, and got to meet them when the band played the Toledo Zoo on Tuesday night.

Back in April, WNWO did a feature on Leah and Evan Sauber of Sylvania. The brother and sister suffer from Cystic Fibrosis, and use the band's songs and videos to distract themselves during their daily treatment. After learning the family planned to attend the bandâ??s appearance at the Toledo Zoo, WNWO was able to help get the family backstage to meet the group.

â??We got to do a pre-concert thing, they played a few songs and did some questions with a big group of us,â?? said Kim Sauber, Leah and Evanâ??s mother. She added, â??Then we did pictures and they signed a couple hockey sticks for us.â??

Big Time Rush took the stage around 8:30 p.m., and played to a frenzied crowd that packed the zoo amphitheater.

The band first found fame on the Nickelodeon television series â??Big Time Rush.â?? Big Time Rush recently released its third studio album â??24/Sevenâ?? earlier this year.
