Sunday marked the one year anniversary of the Ottawa Hills police shooting that left Michael McCloskey, 25, paralyzed. To mark the occassion, over one thousand bikers met at the Omni in Ottawa Hills to take part in a rally against excessive police force.
Scott Feeback organized the event on the Facebook after seeing the dash cam video of the shooting. I never thought starting a Facebook page would get a rally like this, this amount of people I TMm just shocked, amazed its awesome, Feeback.
Rider Dale Reinhardt says the video also prompted him to act. People care about people, bikers stick together it doesn TMt matter who we are we stick together, says Reinhardt who came to support Michael.
Tragic, very tragic if it happened to this young man it can happen to any of us here, said Mitch Milton.
Milton came to support one message in particular, we want every surrounding suburb to have the same quality training as the Toledo Police Department. That TMs what we TMre here to support.
The bikers rode the same path as Michael rode the night he was shot. The ride ended at the Ottawa Hills Village Hall where a rally was held.
