Bishop Blair celebrates final mass in Toledo

Marking 10 years since he was appointed to his post in Toledo, Archbishop Blair held his last public mass before heading to CT.

Archbishop Designate Bishop Leonard P. Blair celebrated his final public mass in Toledo on Wednesday night.

After a decade of service, Blair will leave Toledo later this month, for a new assignment as Archbishop of Hartford, Conn.

It was 10 years ago, also on Dec. 4, that Bishop Blair was installed as the seventh Bishop of Toledo.

He will be installed as the fifth Archbishop in Hartford on Dec. 16, 2013.

A public reception followed the Thanksgiving mass in the Monsignor Bernard E. Smith Auditorium at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral on Collingwood Avenue in Toledo.
