The Franklin Park Mall was busy with customers on the first full day of holiday shopping. The mall actually got an early start having opened its doors at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving evening. Toledo teenager Grace Gibson was buying presents for her parents and a few of her friends. "This is my first year shopping on Black Friday and we did see some deals," Ms. Gibson said.
Toledo resident Cherza Cox was amazed at the amount of people at the Franklin Park Mall. "It's madness, chaos, a lot of confusion going on," Ms. Cox said.
Black Friday is so named because the day after Thanksgiving is typically the day when most retailers begin to turn a profit.
