Blanchard river flooding concerns residents and business owners

Flood waters on the Blanchard River are extremely high as hard rainfall has increased the threat of flooding in the area.

The National Weather Service issued flood warnings for the river and Eagle Creek in Findlay.

According to the National Weather Service, flood Stage begins at 11 feet. At 6:00 p.m. Thursday night, the Blanchard River was already over 12 feet and rising.

Business owners like Bill Davidson has owned a used furniture store nearby the river for less than a year and is concerned about what the damage he may see,

"anytime I'm down, I'm losing money, just getting started in the business. I've only been open for about 10 months, so everybody is a precious day, and I don't know how long it's going to take if it does flood," says Davidson.
