Body discovered in Monroe confirmed to be that of missing man
MONROE TOWNSHIP, Michigan (WNWO) —
A detective with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office confirms the body found Tuesday morning was that of missing Toledo man James Flunder.
Flunder’s body was discovered around 9:15 on Tuesday morning on the grounds of the Monroe Public Schools Transportation Department, located in the 4900 block of West Albain Road.
The body was found by a school employee arriving for work.
Autopsy results from the Wayne County Medical Examiner are pending.
Flunder’s vehicle had been discovered on Sunday night in Monroe Township, near the location where the body was found.
An initial search by authorities didn’t turn up any clues.
Flunder had been missing since New Year’s Eve.
