Body found in burning car at Port Clinton Walmart

Ottawa County authorities discovered a man's body inside a burning car at a Walmart parking lot on Wednesday morning.
Shane Cartmill, spokesman for the State Fire Marshal, released information stating investigators do not believe the fire is criminal in nature at this time, but a final determination will not be made until the autopsy and forensic analysis is completed
Sheriff's deputies received a 911 call indicating that a car was on fire with someone inside just before 5 a.m. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames by the time authorities arrived to the scene, located at 2826 East Harbor Road.
Port Clinton fire crews extinguished the car and found the body shortly after.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and the victim has been transported to the Lucas County Coronerâ??s Office for an autopsy and positive identification.
Surveillance video from the parking lot will be enhanced and analyzed by the Division of State Fire Marshalâ??s Forensic Laboratory in Reynoldsburg.
