Authorities confirm that a body was recovered by Sylvania Fire from Lake Olander.
Sylvania Police Chief William Rhodus said crews were dispatched at approximately 2 p.m. Monday afternoon by witnesses stating a body was in the water.
Upon arrival the Sylvania Fire had recovered a fully clothed 30 to 40 year old black female from the lake. The body was later identified as Tijuana Linzy, 37 of Sylvania.
Linzy was pronounced dead at Flower Hospital at 2:55pm.
Rhodus tells WNWO that there were no signs of trauma and that he couldnâ??t speculate or rule out whether it was a crime scene or a suicide attempt. The chief said the park will remain closed and they are treating it as a crime scene.
An autopsy is scheduled with the Lucas County Corner Tuesday.
