Body of first 2010 Toledo homicide victim identified

Baldwin's body was found in a burning SUV parked in this parking lot early New Year's Day.

Authorities have identified the body of a man believed to be the victim of Toledo first homicide of 2010.

The body of Eric Baldwin, 51, was found in a burning SUV in the parking lot of Nova Industrial Machine Co. on Pelee St. in the early morning hours of New Year's Day. Police say the SUV was not involved in an accident.

Baldwin's address is not known. It is also not known if he was a resident of the Toledo-area.

An investigation into the incident continues.
