Brutal COLD & WIND as far as the eye can see...

The Arctic Outbreak is underway. In addition to the amazing cold and record setting January snowfall totals, the duration of this deep freeze will be amazing - likely lasting into the beginning of February!
We may have set the snowfall record last night - but if not it will be shattered in the days to come as fresh shots of even colder air are pumped in out of the north late Wednesday and Saturday. This trend will be continuing for at least the next 10 days!
The story for us now is the COLD. We will see some sunshine today, but also some wind and bitterly cold temps topping out near 10 degrees. A WIND CHILL ADVISORY goes into effect at 10am this morning and will stay in place through 11am Wednesday as windchills will dip below -10 at times. This is frostbite/hypothermia territory with prolonged and unprepared exposure to the elements. Be smart and safe. Don't forget about your pets!
Temps fall to about -5 overnight with colder windchills and the Windchill Advisory remains in effect. Skies will be partly cloudy.
We cloud up Wednesday, leading to more light, accumulating snow developing late and continuing into the overnight. Highs Wednesday will top out in the teens with colder windchills.
Expect screaming winds and cold Thursday and Friday in advance of what looks like a pretty healthy snow maker Saturday. Next week offers more of the same! YIKES!!!
