Bus transportation cancelled for Springfield High School

The failure of a recent levy is causing the Springfield Local School District to cancel high school bus transportation, and some community members are worried about the traffic congestion that decision may cause.
School officials are teaming with the Holland Police Department to ease traffic flow and protect students. Theyâ??ve released a map to show parents where and how to drop their kids off.
Drivers are instructed to enter a drop-off zone from Hall Street or McCord Road. School officials say law enforcement will be patrolling the area, and anyone who attempts to illegally turn left from McCord will be ticketed.
Early this month, voters rejected a $7.9 million dollar operating levy for Springfield Local Schools.
