Tuesday evening, Perrysburg residents gave city leaders a piece of their minds on plans to bring a roundabout to downtown Perrysburg.
The roundabout is part of a beautification and renovation project in downtown Perrysburg and is estimated to cost $2.3 million.
The project would take place along Louisiana Avenue and would include a statue of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry in the center of the new roundabout.
"I'm not completely for it or against it," said business owner Ann Elick. "I'm not a big proponent for roundabouts because I think they're confusing and safety issues for pedestrian traffic is a big deal."
The plan before Perrysburg city council was only a first reading and wasn't voted on. Perrysburg Mayor Mike Olmstead says more discussion will follow.
The renovation plan also includes decorative bricks at some city intersections, and landscaping in the Louisiana median.
