CAPTURED Fugitive of the Week: Larry Smith

Larry Smith

U.S. Marshal Rodney Hartzell calls this week's Fugitive of the Week "The Slow Learner Bank Robber." Larry Smith has been wanted before for fleeing and was caught and put back in prison. He's fled again.

Smith robbed a bank in 2006 in Alabama. After completing his prison sentence, he was released to the custody of relatives in Toledo. Shortly after his release, he disappeared.

Federal authorities caught up with him and put him back in prison. He got out just a couple months ago and he's on the lamb again.

"We believe he's fled Toledo," said Hartzell. "He's out of the state, possibly."

Hartzell says Smith has an extensive criminal record and is violent. He's missing and the U.S. Marshals want him back.
