Fifth Third Bank of Sylvania customers beware: Police are on the hunt for the cyber crook who installed a debit card-reading device on an ATM.
The device, called a "skimmer," reads debit cards and pin numbers from cards that are swiped through the machine. The skimmer was found on an ATM at Fifth Third Bank on West Central Avenue near King Road.
Police have not disclosed how long the device was there or how many customers were affected. A Fifth Third spokeswoman said in a statement that the bank is contacting affected customers.
