Emergency crews are responding to the scene of a school bus crash in Lenawee County Wednesday morning.
According to the Lenawee County Sheriff's Office, an Onsted Schools bus collided with a pick-up truck at U.S. 223 and Onsted Highway at 7:17 a.m.
Onsted Community Schools Superintendent Mark Haag said about 17 students were riding the bus at the time. Eleven children on the bus were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries as a precautionary measure, according to Haag.
The driver of the pick-up truck was also transported from the scene by ambulance.
ProMedica Bixby Hospital, in Adrian, released an update at 10 a.m. confirming 12 people are being treated for injuries after the crash.
A spokesperson from Promedica said the two children were seriously injured; another 10 people have minor injuries.
Officials have closed off the intersection as they investigate the crash.
Roads have been reopened.
