We talked with Dean Sparks the head of Children Services today about the upcoming election, and issue 25. The agency is looking to renew an existing levy and a add on new one. Dean Sparks tells us that Children Services needs the money to help protect the children of Lucas County who have been abused by keeping caseworkers on the job. CSB works with a budget that is smaller than Counties of similar size in Ohio Sparks tells us. Sparks also tells us that if the levy is rejected, there could be large layoffs and reduction in services. If issue 25 is approved, it would cost the owner of a $100,000 home About $57 a year or 15 cents a day.
