Some suburban cities are looking to opt out of Toledo's bus system.

According to published reports, last night the Sylvania Board of Trustees unanimously voted to put withdrawal from TARTA on the March 6 ballot.

"This is our last chance to get it on [the ballot] so we're not paying two more years of taxes for TARTA if people say they want out," Sylvania Township trustee Kevin Haddad said to The Blade.

Perrysburg City Council approved the same issue at a meeting just hours later.

The cities feel the need to get the issue on the ballot quickly so they aren't taxed for TARTA in 2013. The city of Rossford is also considering withdrawing from TARTA services.

What do you think will happen to TARTA if these cities vote to withdraw from the bus system? Can it survive? Leave your comment below with us.
