City council votes to move forward with Perrysburg Costco

In a vote of 4-to-2, a special use zoning permit was granted to Costco, to build a new store at the intersection of State Route 25 and Eckel Junction Road.

Perrysburg City Council approved an ordinance on Tuesday to move forward with the construction of a new Costco.

In a vote of 4-to-2, a special use zoning permit was granted to Costco, to build a new store at the intersection of State Route 25 and Eckel Junction Road.

The special use permit is required for any business larger than 60,000 feet.

The retailerĂ¢??s plan for the site includes the store, a gas station, 720 parking spaces and two out-lots.

The plan does need a review by city officials and that will include setting up conditions of the deal with the city planning commission. That process will begin during a meeting on Thursday.
