Thu, 24 Oct 2013 15:18:25 GMT — Current vendors and other businesses interested in getting a signed contract are encouraged to apply for a bid online.The City of Toledo is switching to electronic contracting and announced the change Thursday morning at University of Toledo Student Center.The city wants businesses to submit bids and contracts online. The city claims it will speed up the process when receiving a bid award and a signed contract.Several workshops have been scheduled to explain the online system.The city will have a webinar, Oct. 29 and have a workshop set up Oct. 30 at Sanger Branch Library, Room A at 3030 W. Central Ave.Bids will be accepted through the traditional process, but will assist businesses to use the online services of the new system.
