Clean up begins in Wauseon

At a nearby park, a massive pine tree was uprooted.

24-hours after a massive storm hit our area, residents of Wauseon are picking up the pieces of their homes, and their lives.

Wednesday night's storm hit quick and hard.

Wesley Penrod was one resident who experienced minimal damage to his house.

Down the street, residents tell a different story. At a nearby park, a massive pine tree was uprooted, snapping in half just a few feet from where his children were playing. Fortunately, Penrod said no one was seriously hurt.

On the other side of town, other residents had damage to their houses.

A fire caused by a downed power line, which set an apartment ablaze and displaced three residents.

Steve McEllrath owns the building and said the fire also caused damage to his shop next door. Most damage was at the apartment. McEllarth said he's just glad everyone made it out alright
