A convicted child molester from Detroit who was on the run for seven months is now in custody, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Tips from the public lead to the arrest of 19-year-old Sherrod Bradford at a sandwich shop in Toledo. Bradford fled the night before his sentencing for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl.
Bradford will be arraigned Friday morning on a "failure to appear" charge.
A Michigan bail bondsman told the paper that Bradford's bond was continued after his conviction, enabling the felon to flee.
