A prank call to 911 on Tuesday night lead to a fire and arrest at the Executive Parkway Red Roof Inn.
Around 8 p.m., Chicha Harris, 39, told authorities he had a gun and locked himself in his hotel room. Toledo police broke in through a window after Harris set his mattress ablaze.
Sgt. Joe Heffernan said officers physically threw the mattress out the window to extinguish the fire and then apprehended Harris.
He was booked at the Lucas County jail. At his arraignment Wednesday morning, the judge set his bond at $50,000. He is charged with aggravated arson, obstructing official business and misuse of 911.
He is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 15.
