The Defiance County Sheriff's Office is investigating the case of four people found dead inside a family home in what they are calling a triple murder-suicide.

Officials identified the dead as 68-year-old Robert Garza Sr., his 61-year-old wife, Christine Garza, 42-year-old daughter, Zoila Garza, and granddaughter, 15-year-old Rebecca Garza.

Sheriff David Westrick said Friday that the grandfather apparently was the shooter. The sheriff said Garza had health problems but hasn't determined if that's the motive. It is believed that he used a handgun to kill the three females before fatally shooting himself.
