Following the mass, demonstrators marched to St. Joseph Cemetary, where they laid flowers at the Monument of the Unborn.

Demonstrators and parishioners of St. Joseph??s in Maumee marched for the right to life on Sunday to pay respects for aborted children.

St. Joseph Council Knights Of Columbus 11370 lead pro-life supporters in the annual ??March for Life.?? Demonstrators began the event at a mass where they prayed for the families and professionals who are involved with the practice of abortion and contraception.

Pro-life supporter Pat Schaffer told WNWO, ??We??re all believers in life.?? Schaffer, who has three children of her own, continued, ??Even those women struggling with difficult pregnancies, there??s adoptive couples out there who would love to love babies, rather than have them go through the violence of abortion.??

Following the mass, demonstrators marched to St. Joseph Cemetary, where they laid flowers at the Monument of the Unborn.

??The demonstration brings awareness to the community,?? said Ed Sitter, from the pro-life organization Foundation for Life. Sitter noted 1,249 children were aborted in Lucas County last year. He added, ??1,249 of your neighbors and friends, their children being aborted every year, that touches home.??

The ??March for Life?? coincides with the National March for Life that takes place in Washington D.C. on January 25th.
