The Lucas County Dog Warden is featuring a month-long adoption special during July. The adoption fee for all dogs and puppies will be discounted to $25 plus the purchase of a license ($25 in Lucas County).
69 dogs and puppies are searching for new homes at the Dog Warden shelter.
â??We have a large influx of dogs coming in each day, in the last week alone we have taken in an average of over 10 dogs per day,â?? said Julie Lyle, Lucas County Dog Warden. â??We have an abundance of wonderful dogs up for adoption that have all been through both behavioral and medical screening, have had their vaccines, worming, heartworm test and are spayed or neutered and micro chipped. With this many dogs coming in the doors and our wish to get as many safe dogs as possible out into new homes, we need the help of the public to come in and adopt.â??
Some dogs have sponsors that have donated a portion of their adoption fee, so adopters have to purchase a dog license. If you have a resident dog and are looking to adopt another dog, please be sure to bring your resident dog to visit.
