      Driver dies, passenger seriously injured in US 6 crash

      MARGETTA TOWNSHIP -- A Findlay man is dead and a passenger in critical condition Wednesday after a single vehicle crash on US 6 in Erie County.63-year-old Ralph Russo, of Findlay, was driving westbound on US 6 near Northwest Road when the vehicle crossed the center line around 1 p.m., according to the Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.It then drove off the left side of the road, striking a mailbox, a road sign and two trees.Ralph was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.A passenger, Nancy Russo, 68, of Findlay, was taken by Life Flight to the University of Toledo Medical Center.Officials listed her in critical condition.Both Nancy and Ralph were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.Authorities said alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
