A Van Buren man is behind bars after taking Findlay police on a high speed chase from Broad to Rector Avenue on Monday night.
According to the police report, the pursuit began after 33-year-old Joseph Miller kept driving after an officer attempted to pull him over for speeding around 11 p.m.
The chase went though the neighborhoods of Howard Street, Davis Street, Swing Avenue, Morey Avenue, Clifton Avenue, Geffs Avenue and eventually ended on Bolton Street.
Miller then fled on foot, but was apprehended in the 400 block of Rector Avenue. He was arrested for fleeing and eluding, drunk driving, drug paraphernalia, speeding and driving under suspension.
He is incarcerated in the Hancock County Justice Center pending his initial court appearance.
